Separatist leaders extend strike call for 3 days


Srinagar, Jul 15: The Hurriyat Leadership including Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik, have extended protests and complete shutdown for next 72 hours starting from Saturday morning till Monday evening.

In a joint statement issued to KNS, Hurriyat leadership said that the people are appealed to stage protests after Maghrib prayers and raise pro freedom slogans of right to self determination.


While continuing protest strike on 17th JulySunday, people of Kashmir valley are asked to visit the families of recent martyrs and injured in order to pay tribute to their courageous roles in the on-going freedom struggle of Kashmir.

Furthermore, on 18th July, people of Kashmir shall organize freedom march on their respective district headquarters.

Hurriyat leadership and Kashmiris are thankful to the Government and people of Pakistan for their unflinching support for the freedom struggle of Kashmiris.

We welcome the call from Govt. Of Pakistan call to observe 19th July as Black day to appraise the world about the ongoing genocide of Kashmiris by Indian forces and to aware them about the struggle of Kashmiris for right to self determination.

In resolve to this black day call, we appeal the people of Kashmir and Kashmiris living abroad, to observe the 19th of July as a Black day.
