Seventh day of the “Display Your Talent” 2014-15

IMG_7574 Jammu: Mime, Mimicry and Mono Acting events were organized on the seventh day of the “Display Your Talent” 2014-15 at Brig. Rajinder Singh Auditorium organized by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu.

In Mime Competition,

The team from Govt. College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, bagged the prize whereas the team from Govt. College for Women, Parade and P.G. Integrated, University of Jammu, were adjudged as second and third, respectively.  The Certificate of Merit was awarded to the team from Trikuta college of Computer Science and Management Studies.

The actions speak louder than the words, this was depicted by the young participants in their Mime presentations on various themes such as “Marriage Scene”, “Politics” “Gender Bias” and “Water Conversation”

In Mimicry Competition,

Narender from Department of History, University of Jammu, clinched the first prize whereas Pallavi Kunwer from Govt. College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu and Kanav Chopra from Govt. MAM College, Jammu bagged the second and third prize, respectively. The Certificate of Merit was awarded to Richa Sharma from Govt. College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.

In Mono-Acting Competition,

Radhika Rasyal from Department of History, University of Jammu bagged the first prize whereas Damini Baloria from Govt. College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu and Jagpreet Kour form the Law School, University of Jammu, adjudges as second and third prize, respectively. Namrat Chib from Govt. College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, was awarded with Certificate of Merit.

Brig. Rajinder Singh Auditorium, echoed with the thunderous applause by the large gathering on every good piece of performance.

Sh. Digviajy Singh, Sh. Vijay Atri and Sh. Anil Tickoo, were the adjudicators for all the events.

Dr. Hema Gandotra, Dr. Lalit Sen Sharma and Dr. Kavita Suri, was teacher incharges for the Mime, Mimicry and Mono Acting events and conducted the events effectively.

The events were compeered by Aenny Mattoo, Joint Secretary Students Cultural Council and Maida Rasool whereas Rakush Kumar and Yash Pal acted as the time keeper.

Prof. Pankaj Srivastava, Dean Students Welfare and Prof. Parmeshwari Sharma, Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee, distributed the certificates amongst the participants.

Among others, Dr. Sanjay Sharma, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Dr. Ab. Rashid Manhas, Assistant Dean (SW), Dr. Yudhbir Singh, Assistant Dean (SW), Ifra Kak, Cultural Officer, Sumeet Sharma, Drama Instructor, Teacher Incharges, Scholars, Rahul Sharma, Secretary, Students Cultural Council, Bharti Devi, Joint Secretary, SCC, Sangeeta, Jatinder Singh, Kaveri, members of Students Cultural Council and Students, were present.
