Bollywood actress Shabana Azmi is in the Valley for her next project. Based on the legendary Hindi writer Prem Chand’s most popular short story “Idgah” is directed by Piyush Panjunai, Azmi(65) is excited about her visit. The movie is about a little boy Hamid, who lives with his grandmother Amina.
There are speculations that a boy from Srinagar can play the role the lead role of Hamid in the movie.
The ‘Neerja’ actress shared her excitement of going to Kashmir after almost 32 years on Twitter. She exclaimed how movies were shot in Kashmir so often earlier but not anymore. She added that it will be her first visit after 1984. She is looking forward to meeting tourists and locals.
The entire cast and crew are filming in a village near Gulmarg and the actress, who was so taken away by the beauty, she even shared a breathtaking picture of the location on social site.
