Sharma pays tribute to Kargil martyr in Qila Darhal
MLC Ravinder Sharma-Spokesperson PCC today visited Qila Darhal and offered flowers to the statue of Kargil Shaheed Joginder Singh of 14 JK Light Infantry, today.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Sharma described him as a brave solider who laid down his life for the sake of our motherland in 1999 Kargil War. He said that the Kargil War was fought for more than 60 days during May – July in harsh weather conditions which ended on July 26th 1999. Let us take few moments to remember the supreme sacrifice of our brave soldiers. He also appreciated the people of border area who are living on mountains and defending the country in civil dress.
Sharma also provided rupees two lakh (Rs. 2.00 lakh) from his MLC-CDF scheme for road connectivity to the village of Shaheed Joginder Singh.
He disclosed that a project of water filtration plant of rupees 14.70 corers has been sanctioned for providing safe/clean drinking to Qila Darhal and adjoining villages of the area.
