Shiromani Akali Dal to commemorate on 26th October for Sikh Raaj Diwas
Baba Banda Singh Bahadur was born in Rajouri District of Jammu Kashmir in 1670 from a Rajput family. He was inclined towards adventure and sports and Horse riding, hunting and wrestling were his main hobbies since childhood. Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj motivated and blessed him to lead the Khalsa Fauj at Nanded Maharashtra and Baba Banda Singh Bahadur won many battles against the brutal rulers in Punjab and other states as well. Sirhind Fateh was the main victory of Khalsa Fauj where two younger sons of Guru Gobind singh and Mata Gujri Ji were sacrificed by the order of suba sirhind. After Sirhind Fateh Baba Banda Singh Bahadur became first Sikh Ruler and founder of Sikh Raaj in 1710 century. Giving rights of equality to everyone and land ownership to the tillers he is considered as one of the best rulers. He released the currency on the name of Guru Nanak and Guru Gobind Singh.

This great Son of Jammu and Kashmir has been a great warrior and Sikh Jarnail of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Khalsa Fauj. Simranjit singh ‘Mann’ President of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) and many other leaders are participating in the function.
