National Conference leader and MLA Habba Kadal Shameema Firdous on Friday alleged the involvement of Jammu and Kashmir Police officials in drug trafficking.
Without naming any police official, Firdous, according to KNS news agency, said: “It has been seen that some police officials were also involved in the act (drug trafficking), therefore police didn’t act against them.”
She said that drug peddlers sell their contraband outside educational institutions and thus easily involve students, thereby jeopardizing future generations
Asking police to maintain a tight vigil outside the educational institutions, Firdous said that every citizen is concerned over the growing drug menace.
She said that the persons involved in drug trafficking should be booked as per the law.
