In a shocking turn of events that was not expected so soon by Pakistan, the Joint Investigation Team from the neighbouring country has alleged that it was India of orchestrating the attack in Pathankot with the objective of cornering Pak. The JIT in its report to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is reported to have also linked the murder of NIA official Tanzil Ahmad with Patkankot attack.
It is being reported that JIT has alleged that India wanted to keep the Pathankot matter under wraps and this was the reason that Ahmad was eliminated as he was a key official in investigating the attack. In another jocular accusation on India, the JIT report says that Indian government was not cooperative with the Pak investigators and instead tried to hinder the probe.
The Pak JIT was on five-day investigation visit to India during which it was given all evidence pointing to the involvement of terrorists from across the border. DNA details of the ultras were also given to Pak team and call record details also presented. The JIT had also examined 13 witnesses but it seems the entire hard work and effort made by Indian side to convince the Pakistanis seems to have gone down the drain.
