Should J&K Govt follow UP CM Yogi Adityanath’s step to ban Gutka in Govt offices?
Jammu — Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh banned paan masala and gutka or chewing tobacco in all government offices in the state. It reportedly took seconds for the 44-year-old priest-politician to pass the order, on an unscheduled visit to the old Chief Minister’s office in Lucknow.
Yogi Adityanath visited the old office and was reportedly furious at spotting rust stains of paan or betel leaf on a staircase – unfortunately a common sight in government buildings not only in UP alone but everywhere.
This is the sight of one such spot in Bahu Plaza where the cemented wall has been painted in red rusty color of thook, thanks to the benevolence of the people who did it.
