Gupta, Chief Executive Officer of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, informed that last year the Yatra commenced from both Baltal Route and Chandanwari Route on 28th June while this year the Yatra commenced on 28th June only from the Baltal Route and from Chandanwari Route from 2nd July. Despite the Yatra starting late this year from the Chandanwari route, 3, 46,752 Yatris had paid obeisance at Holy Cave till 28th July 2014. Till the corresponding day last year 3, 27,507 Yatris had performed Darshan.
