Shutdown in Anantnag after alleged desecration of Mosque

Srinagar, June 25 : Protests erupted in the old Islamabad town of South Kashmir today amid a shutdown against the alleged desecration of a mosque by government forces on Friday.

It was asserted that the mosque was ransacked by forces during the clashes that erupted after the Friday prayers.

All the shops and other business establishments remain close today while the movement of traffic is severely affected due to the spontaneous shutdown.
