Six civilians injured in Shopian explosion

Srinagar, May 9: Six civilians were injured in Jammu and Kashmir when a grenade lobbed by the militants exploded, police said on Saturday.

The explosion took place at Shopian in south Kashmir.

“Six civilians were injured in a grenade lobbed by the militants in Shopian market today (Saturday),” a senior police officer told media persons in Srinagar.

Some reports said the explosion took place in Shopian, 52 km from Srinagar, when a police party was passing through the town.
