Four Hizb militants arrested in connection with Sopore cell tower attack

Jammu and Kashmir police has arrested four Hizbul Mujahideen militants in connection with the Sopore Mobile tower attack on May 24. Out of 2903 towers of various telecom companies functional across Kashmir valley, 1058 were shut down due to the attacks and continuous threats by the terrorists and militant groups to the landlords in whose premises the towers were installed.

In the wake of a series of attacks and consequent threats, Sopore was the worst hit area where 177 towers were shut down. Two persons died in the series of attacks and three were injured.

As per sources the police has been able to restore 59 towers which are located close to the security forces camps and police stations.
