Police Friday called the Cluster Head of the Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) for questioning in a suicide case here in North Kashmir’s Sopore town of Barmulla district.
The accused Cluster Head, who was earlier Branch Manager HDFC branch Hari Singh High Street Srinagar, was in news when a case of bungling surfaced there. Shaheed Gunj Police Station after probing the matter had arrested a security guard then.
SP Sopore Harmeet Singh Mehta confirmed that accused (name withheld) was called for questioning on Friday. “We are investigating the matter and truth will surface,” he said.
Meanwhile, a top official of HDFC Bank told CNS that Bank has nothing to do with the matter. “It is the personal matter of the Cluster Head and I request all not to drag the Bank in it.”
