Srinagar, November 05: A 19 year old Aamir Ali Shah from Bijbehara Town Of South Kashmir has made the public servants deputed in Kashmir by state government answerable to the public by bringing them on his question-and-answer website.
His website ‘Speak Up Kashmir’ will provide a platform for the aggrieving people of the Kashmir. They would now be able to ask queries directly to the experts on Speakup Kashmir and canget also get instant replies.
The developer of this first debating website of Kashmir is pursuing BBA from Govt. Degree College Kulgam. “The sight of long queues of elderly men and women outside government offices always saddened me. I wanted to do something about it. That is how the idea struck me,” he said in an interview.
With Speak Up Kashmir, the grievances can be said and heard with ease and this will also save people from standing in long queues and officials from big crowds in their respective office everyday.
Right now the project is in the beginner phase and Shah and his team are trying to o rope in various government departments. Their aim to invite them is to make the officials answerable to public.
“Although, it is a difficult task to bring them in public domain on such a platform, but they surely will come once we approach them with a positive mindset,” believes Shah.
Shah has decided not to limit it to just government departments. With time, the website will have a panel of experts sitting online to talk on a wide range of issues like education, politics, health and sports also.
The website can be accessed on a PC, laptop, tablets and mobile devices. A user would need to sign up only once and a unique profile will be instantly generated for him. Then he can post queries and get answers.
