Speaker takes appraisal of developmental activities in Eidgah area
SRINAGAR: The Speaker Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Mubarak Gul has directed the Jammu and Kashmir Project Construction Corporation (JKPCC) to develop Mala House as Restaurant-cum-Community Hall for the facilities of locals.
The Speaker was reviewing the progress of various on-going development projects in his home constituency, Eidgah, here today.
While taking a detailed review of schemes, the Speaker directed the executing agencies to submit a detailed report of expenditure incurred on various developmental projects so that the necessary funds are arranged. He also called for ensuring quality of works and judicious use of funds available with them. He also called for accelerating the pace of works to complete them in a stipulated time frame. He directed for developing an Environment-cum-Children’s park and demarcation of Eidgah.
The meeting was attended by the District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, Farooq Shah, Director Tourism, Kashmir, Talat Parvez, Director Estates, Sheikh Fayaz Ahmad, Director, Floriculture, Sunil Misri, Secretary Sport Council, Dileep Thussu and other officers of various departments.
