Jammu , 23 December: Spring Dales Hr. Secondary School, Krishna Nagar and Lower Barnai, Jammu jointly organized its 32nd Annual Day Function today here at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu.
Smt. Veena Pandita, Secretary, JK Board of School Education and Shri HR Parikhoo, Hon’ble Joint Secretary, Examination Jk Board of School Education were the Chief Guest and Guest of Honor respectively.
In this mega cultural function about 200 hundred students of both the schools exhibited their talents through the various activates of Music, dance and Theatre arts and bound the audience in a spell.
Shri. HR Parikhoo in his address congratulated the principal, teachers, Staff and management of the school for rendering their selfless service to the society and the nation as well. He said besides completing the syllabus and curriculum the teachers should create a very conducive and congenial atmosphere in the school so that the students get the opportunity to grow as humans. The Students must develop the scientific and logical attitude but in the same time they must also cultivate the values of non violence, love, truth, perseverance, confidence, courage and truth. He said that the Educational institutions are not known by the concrete infrastructure only but the teachers and the students who create history in the field of education in term of the achievements in the various field of curriculum and co- curriculum. He Said that the teachers are the torch bearers and they should feel proud to be teachers as the enlightened citizens cannot be produced in a factory, it has to come through education thus Teachers are the torchbearers of change.
The function was commenced with the lightening of the tradional lamp followed by the Guru Vandana , besides the other attaractions of the function were Incredible UV Waves (a dance using UV light and specially designed costumes), Shadow Dance (this was first ever such performance in Jammu by any students. Students danced behind a screen causing shadows on the screen), Krishna Leela, Id-Gah (a short dance drama performed by KG and primary students), Final Solutions (another play based on communalism in J&K). Both the plays were directed by Mr. Ravinder Sharma.. Other attractions included Bhangra titled – Burrahhh, Hip Hop! Don’t Stop! And Paryavaran Parivartan. The dance performances were choreographed by Mr. Rakesh and Mr. Rohit choreographed the dances in Id-Gah.
Mrs. Rashmee Malhotra , Principal of Spring Dales, Krishna Nagar in her address updated the audience on the activities and developments in the schools and Mr. Gaurav Malhotra, Principal, Springdales, Barnai presented the school report.
