JAMMU: Minister for Education, Mr. Naeem Akhtar asked the teaching fraternity to imbibe quality education along with moral values to the students for their bright future.
The Minister said this while interacting with the teaching staff of Shri Ranbir Singh Higher Secondary School (SRHSS) here this evening.
Minister of State for Education, Mr. Priya Sethi was also present on the occasion.
The Minister said being the oldest school of the State established in 1872, this prestigious school of Jammu has produced number of leaders IAS/IPS officers, famous Doctors and Engineers.
Mr. Naeem said that this school would be developed as a model school by providing modern infrastructure besides innovative laboratories. He said computer lab of the school would be also upgraded besides library would be provided knowledgeable books on different topics for the students.
The Minister said that the Government is expending huge amount on the education sector for providing quality education to the students adding that it is responsibility of the teaching community to pay special heed on the teaching of the students for achieving quality results in government educational institutions.
Director School Education, Jammu S. Simrandeep Singh was accompanied by the Minister during the visit.
The Principal of School, Mr. J. S Manhas gave detailed resume of the working of the school.
