Srinagar police solves hit and run case in two days; accused behind bars

Srinagar July 24: Srinagar police solved a hit and run case in two days by arresting the driver alongwith the vehicle.

Police Pantha Chowk solved a hit and run case in which an unknown sumo hit and injured a Scooty driven by Bashir Ahmad Parray resident of Natipora, Sriangar near Lasjan bridge on 22th of July 2015. The injured later on succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS Soura, Srinagar. The accused driver Mohammad Shafi Mir resident of Aripal, Tral was arrested and the Sumo bearing registration number JK03B/8646 was seized. A case FIR No. 59/15 under section 279, 337, 304 A RPC has been registered against him in Police Station Pantha Chowk.
