Student beaten black and blue within Campus

Srinagar:   The campus of the Government Degree College Bemina turned into a combat zone on Tuesday when one of the students was beaten up ruthlessly by another.

According to the reports from a local daily, Mohammed Rafiq War, who is an undergraduate student and hails from Rohama in Rafiabad, was thrashed by a fellow student remorselessly. The accused is a resident of Kupwara.

As per the victim, during one of the lectures, the students from Chowkibal were continuously disturbing the entire class and despite repeatedly asking them to settle down, one of the students turned vicious and started thrashing Mohammed Rafiq fiercely.

When the Principal of the college was approached, she assured that strict action would be taken against the culprits and they would be suspended immediately. She added that such a homicidal situation is regrettable and she extended her empathy towards the wounded student. She further confirmed that any such incident shall not repeat. Meanwhile the police have been asked to take stern action against the offender.
