Students hospitalized after teacher beats them ruthlessly

Srinagar, May4: Two minor students were Wednesday admitted in a hospital in Handwara in Kupwara district after a teacher ‘ruthlessly’ beat them in a government school.

According to local daily, two students, Altaf Ahmad Mir and Basit Ahmad Dar, both in class 7th, of Government School Makal, Mawar, in Langate area of Kupwara district were beaten by the teacher, Irshad Ahmad, in the school.

Doctors in Handwara sub district hospital said that the two students have injuries.

Dr Abdul Rouf, medical Superintendent of Handwara Sub District hospital said that they have admitted the students with injuries that is blunt trauma and bruises and are being treated in hospital.

The parents of the injured students have asked the government to take action against the “brutal” teacher.

Chief Education Officer Kupwara Farooq Ahmad Dar said that he will take action against the teacher.

Dar said that teh teacher will be put under suspension and action as per rules will be taken against him.
