Students of Lawrance Public School celebrates Janamasthmi Utsav

Jammu, September 04: Small toddlers of Lawrence Public School, Panjtirthi & Sidhra branch celebrated Janamashtmi Utsav in the school premises. The small toddlers came dressed up as Radha, Krishna, Yashodha Maiya, Gopiya to present a skit depicting scenes from Lord Krishna’s birth till Raasrilla. Playing flute, having a bowl of butter and sharing laughter with friends, the fun clad event consisted of several entertaining competitions and games which apparently showered innumerable gifts over kids who were beautifully dressed in Lord Krishna’s attire. Moreover, the event became super exciting when one minute show was organized which included many events like balloons blowing, eating butter, tie-untie yourself etc. Apart from this balancing a pot on head and a few other challenging contests were also held today at school’s common hall. There were some awards for the student which included student with the best smile, student with the best traditional jewellery, best dress, and best hair style. The most interesting show of the day was Nat-Khat Kanha where they had to choose the naughtiest and the most active child who could depict the character of Lord Krishna. The senior students participated in Dahi Handi breaking by forming a human pyramid. Mrs. Shakuntla Joshi, Founder Principal Lawrence Public School congratulated all the students on this auspicious occassion.
