Srinagar: Bright sunshine on Wednesday brought relief to people in Jammu city after nearly 25 days of intense fog and freezing cold.
The minimum temperature was above the freezing point at 2.2 degrees Celsius in Srinagar.
The night temperature was minus 2.3 degrees in Pahalgam, minus 5.4 degrees in Gulmarg and minus 8.3 degrees Celsius in Leh on Wednesday.
According to the Met Office, the minimum temperature in Jammu was 7.8 degrees Celsius, 9.6 degrees in Katra and 2.3 in Batote. The night temperature in Banihal and Bhaderwah towns was marginally higher than the freezing point at 0.7 and 0.8 degree Celsius.
