Sunjwan Army camp attack : How locals come to help security forces with food supplies (WATCH)


The terrorist attack by Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed in Sunujwan on Saturday morning, where two Indian soldiers were killed along with two terrorists, shook Jammu and Kashmir.

The Army camp in Sunjwan was today attacked in the wee hours.

But amidst the terror and security forces on duty, the locals have come out in support of the Indian Army. They are providing food and water to the security personnel at the Sunjwan Army camp.

At least three terrorists on Saturday barged into an army camp in Sunjwan area of Jammu and Kashmir and opened fire, news agency ANI reported. A junior commissioned officer lost his life in the attack, while six others, including one of the officer’s daughter, were injured.

A colonel rank officer was among those injured in the terror attack, Jammu and Kashmir Parliamentary Affairs Minister Abdul Rehman Veeri said today. One other army personnel has died in the Sunjwan terror attack on Saturday. The security forces are still conducting search and combing operation in the area.

District authorities have asked schools within 500 meters radius of the camp to stay closed.
