Taj visits forward areas of Uri, says Govt. keen to see every area develop on uniform scale
URI: Minister for Health & Medical Education, Mr. Taj Mohi ud Din today visited the Paranpila, Hatlanga, Balkote and other very far off areas of Uri constituency and enquired about the development needs there. He also reviewed the pace of development works in these areas.
Interacting with the people at these places which fall just near the LoC, Mr. Taj said Uri has seen a massive turnaround in development sector during the past decade or so particularly in areas like power distribution, drinking water availability, health, social welfare etc. He said more needs to be done in view of the fact that these areas, falling on the borders, are far away from State capitals.
The Minister asked people to come forward and co operate with the Government in its development initiative. He said Government is keen to see every part of the State prosper and develop on a uniform scale and no discrimination would be done with any area.
Mr. Taj said Government during its tenure launched several people friendly schemes like NREGA, NRHM, PMGSY etc. And the aim was to bring a qualitative change into the lives of rural people.
Officers of district administration accompanied the Minister during the visit.
