Tawi river just one foot below alert level


Jammu, July 27: River Tawi has reached 13-feet height which is just one foot below the alert level in Jammu. However, in Ujh and Basantar, the river has already started flowing at the danger mark. Water in the Chenab has also been rising.

At 5:30pm the Chenab river was flowing at 26.8ft with the level slowly rising. The Alert level for Chenab river is 32ft while the danger level is 35ft. The evacuation level for Chenab is 42ft.

Meanwhile, a woman died in a house collapse near Chingus in Rajouri.
