JAMMU: The Business school, Jammu has recieved the honour of being in the list of top 10 B-school in terms of value for money. In a survey conducted by India Today, various business schools in the country were evaluated under five parameters.
While TBS, Jammu University did manage to make the cut in one of the categories, it failed to be a part of even top 100 B-Schools in the over all evaluation list.
In the over all scenario, The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, (IIM-A) has remained consistently on top since 2008, except in 2011, when it ceded the top spot to IIM-Bangalore.
On the second spot is IIM-Calcutta, followed by IIM, Bangalore. This year, the survey’s methodology was tweaked to include only objective data, unlike the last three years where the results of a perception survey and an experiential one were also included. IIM-B agreed to participate in the survey after three years, as a result, XLRI Jamshedpur and S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJMR) fell one spot each-XLRI to number four and SPJMR to number five. Some of the reputed schools that do not feature on the list is because they did not participate or did not submit the data on time.
