Teachers Guild holds meet
JAMMU: A meeting of Teachers Guild Jammu and Kashmir was held today in which various issues of teachers and students were discussed. The meeting was chaired by its state president, Nasir Ahmed Qureshi.
During the meeting, various issues were discussed which included filling up of vacant posts of the department, removal of pay anomalies, release of pending salary of teachers under SSA, RMSA and new pension scheme, rationalization of surplus teaching staff, reorganization of educational zones, enhancement of medical allowance, formulation of clear cut policy, publications of seniority lists of headmasters and teachers and upgradation of middle and primary schools.
Nasir Ahmed Qureshi urged the Education Minister Naeem Akhtar to release the funds so that the salaries of the teachers, masters and Rehbar-e-Taleem teachers working under SSA, RMSA and New Pension Scheme will get their salary.
Among others, the meeting was attended by the members of the executive council, zonal councils and different cells.
