Teamates of slain Nayeem organizes Cricket Tournament in his memory

Srinagar, May 28: 

Teammates of Nayeem Qadir Bhat, who was one of the victims of Handwara killings that took place on April 12 this year, have organized a T20 cricket tournament in his memory.

Star Eleven cricket club Handwara, is now named as Shaheed Nayeem Memorial Gold Cup cricket Championship 2016 in fond memory of Nayeem and there is no registration fee for the participation of the teams.

Nayeem was playing for the Star Eleven cricket club Handwara since past several years untill his death in April.

Organizers of the tournament said that they have organized the T20 tournament in the memory of their beloved all-rounder teammate.

The opening match will played between Kashmir Gymkhana reds Srinagar V/S Murtaza warriors Srinagar at Govt Boys higher secondary play-ground Handwara at 10:00 am.

All dignitaries of JKCA, Ex cricketers from across the valley have been asked to join the occasion.
