Technical workers architects in redesigning profile of the State: Bhalla
JAMMU -Minister for Housing, Horticulture and Culture Mr. Raman Bhalla has said that technical workers are the main architects in redesigning the profile of the State through their planning, adding that in this regard they are helping the Government in completing various ongoing projects within the stipulated time frame.
This was stated by the Minister while addressing a huge gathering of technical workers on Baba Vishwkarma Day function held at Marble Market in Trikuta Nagar, here today.
Mr. Bhalla said that Government was committed to develop every corner of the State on modern lines, adding that peace is a vital for taking development to the door steps of people. He said Government has ensured good governance for the effective implementation of various welfare programmes so that more and more people get benefitted.
The Minister said Government promulgated several acts like Right to Information Act, Public Service Guarantee Act etc by which the participatory involvement of people has been ensured in day-to-day governance. He said through these acts a common man can get the requisite services and information within the stipulated time frame.
Mr. Bhalla highlighted various reformative steps being taken up by the Government in making available all necessary basic amenities to the people of the State especially those living in rural and far-off pockets.
The Minister said that the Government was working under a comprehensive plan to develop modern infrastructure facilities across the state. He said that there was no constraint of funds under development sectors like R&B, PHE, ERA, PDD, Health, Education and other sectors.
Mr. Bhalla said that unprecedented development has been witnessed across the State during last five year tenure of the present Government adding that many new projects were in pipeline to upgrade the living standard of the people.
The Minister said that instructions have been issued to the concerned department to complete all the new projects being executed in their jurisdictions and make optimum use of funds. He urged the people to personally monitor the development works being executed in their respective areas.
Mr. Bhalla assured the inhabitants that their remaining genuine developmental demands would also be fulfilled on priority basis.
While throwing light on the life of Baba Vishwakarma Day, the Minister said Vishwakarma is the divine architect of the universe, one of the fourteen precious things born of the Samundra Manthan and he also constructed the holy city of Dwarka where Lord Krishna ruled. He said this day is not only celebrated by the engineers and architectural community but also by all professionals.
Listing new projects sanctioned for his home constituency, Mr. Bhalla said that Health Ministry has approved Rs. 71 crore for construction of 6-storey Maternity hospital within Gandhi Nagar hospital premises. He said that the hospital would be constructed with all facilities at par with SMGS hospital.
The Minister said to ease rush in the city and Gandhi Nagar hospitals the Government has also approved Rs. 4.77 crore for construction of Primary Health Centres at Bhore Camp and Lower Gaddigarh besides NS Urban Health Centre at Trikuta Nagar.
Earlier, the Bhojpuri artists presented colourful cultural items which were highly appreciated by the huge gathering of Bhojpuries.
