Jammu: After struggling for almost four days in the Hospital, Pawan Gupta, son of Bansi Lal and resident of Rehari Colony, succumbed to his injuries.
A businessman by profession, Pawan was married and had two children. On Sunday, like his usual days, he headed to work around noon on his scooter when a teenager performing stunts on his bike bearing number JK02AS 7220, hit Pawan and he crashed.
The members of his family rushed him to GMC, where he was given the first aid and sent home later on. Around midnight his condition started worsening and the family drove to GMC again. Being critically severe, Pawan was then taken by his family to a private hospital. However, after four days, Pawan breathed his last.
After filling out the details, the police of Narwal Police Station, have started investigating the matter. The family has filed complaint against the bike rider and have urged the police to arrest him. Police have assured the family that appropriate steps will taken to bring justice.
The police officials of Sarwal Police Station handed over the body of the deceased to his family after the postmortem was conducted in GMC.
