BARAMULLA: Minister of state for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Ajaz Ahmad khan today said that after giving tehsil status, tehsil office will be established and other facilities provided to the people of Narvaw soon.
The Minister was addressing a public gathering at Sheeri Baramulla today .He said that tehsil status was a long pending demand of the people for which senior leader Saif-ud-din Soz put all efforts and ultimately succeeded in his mission.
Describing the recent flood a huge calamity, the minister said that relief and rehabilitation activities were immediately taken up across the state and those whose houses were totally damaged were provided relief of Rs 75,000 each as first installment. He said that those people whose paddy and other crops, business units, boats etc got affected due to floods will also be provided relief for which necessary directions have already been given to the concerned officers.
Senior PCC leader Prof Saif- u-din Soz on the occasion while congratulating the people of Narvaw on receiving the Tehsil status, assured them that no stone will be left unturned in solving their problems.
The public representatives on the occasion identified several problems confronting them and demanded early redressal of those problems.
MLC G.N Monga, Shoaib Nabi Lone, Altaf Malik, Members of the Narvaw welfare committee and other party leaders were also present on the occasion.
