Tell The Next CM Sahil Singh – With the ever increasing number of private vehicles, an overall domestic consumption of petrol and petroleum product is on continuous rise. To meet the increasing demand, government has to import more and more petrol. Hence the leading factor of the rising price of petrol is more demand of petrol than supply which is in turn has had a rippling effect.

All the commodities are transported on vehicles running on petrol or diesel, further resulting in price rise of the commodities as  well. The petrol price has increased about 10 times within the period of three years and still is rising. Though the current price is 66 rs/ Lt.,  which has comparatively dipped in the last few months from the maximum of 74 Rs/ litre in June.
The currency crisis in the country has also resulted in this price hike. Oil Market Companies like Indian Oil corporation, Bharat Petroleum are hence paying more for the the same quantity of crude oil.
Industrialists expect a certain amount of concession from the BJP government as the main problem is transportation. The basic hike on petrol or diesel price leads to  the hike in the transportation prices of trucks and other means of transportation. The government hence should provide a little relaxation to the industries in this case.
