The flight was wrongly preponed- Rijiju; accuses Times Now of running a false story against him
Amid a recent controversy concerning a flight delay, Kiren Rijiju on Thursday apologised for the incident in which three passengers were asked to de-board to accommodate him and his aides at Leh, besides a delay in the flight. Three passengers were reportedly taken off an Air India flight at Leh in order to accommodate union Minister of State for Home Affairs Rijiju and an aide last week.
Yesterday, the minister quoted on a social networking site that the boarding pass of Dy CM of Jammu & Kashmir shows that the flight was wrongly & suddenly preponed to depart at 10:20 whereas the actual boarding time starts at 10:45. He added that only after learning the boarding time of 10:45, he requested the local administration to get me the ticket for the same flight as my helicopter was cancelled due to bad weather. That’s why Dy CM has lodged a complaint against the Pilots & Officials who preponed the Fight. The Minister accused the Times Now Channel for running a false story against him. “Instead of complaining against the sudden change of flight timing & creating inconvenience to the passengers Times Now channel is running a false story against without checking the facts. I’m unable to clarify because I’m busy in relief operation in Darjeeling area where many people died & hundreds of people injured, ” he maintained.
