The son of a watchman, wins bronze at international event in Saudi Arabia

Jammu, 01 March: It was a proud moment in the life of Dev Bahadur, watchman of Jammu and Kashmir Sports council, whose joy knew no bounds this Monday morning because his son had won a Bronze medal in the recently concluded Junior Asian Fencing competition in Saudi Arabia.

Since his father is a staff member of the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council so the whole committee was happy with his achievement and thus organised a function in his honour.

The function was attended by Jawaid Ahmed Shah, Secretary J&K State Sports Council; Shiv Kumar Sharma, Joint Secretary; Ranjeet Kalra, vice chairman, Sports Council, Jammu; Rashid Ahmed, International Fencer and member Sports Council and fencing coaches Shotu Lal Sharma and Rachna Jamwal.

While addressing the members present at the function, Sagar promised to work hard and perform better in the upcoming events.

All the dignitaries present in the function wished him best of luck for the upcoming World Fencing Championship which is going to be held at Paris in France in 2016.
