Two held for fake currency worth three lakh in Jammu

Two people were arrested along with fake currency worth Rupees three Lakh at general bus stand, Jammu today.
“Acting on tip off, police party, during midnight, intercepted two persons moving suspiciously at the bus stand,” told a senior police official.

On specific information inputs, Abdul Rashid, a resident of Anantnag district and Abdul Gani, a resident of Gandoh in Doda district were arrested from Jammu bus stand today while they were boarding the vehicles. The police officer said that fake currency worth three lakh has been recovered from their possession.

According to reports, he said that during the initial investigations the accused revealed that the fake currency had been obtained from West Bengal.

The police has registered a case and started the investigations in the case, he said.
