Three Kashmiri youth caught before they were to sell Heroin in Punjab

Jammu : In order to curb the menace of Drugs and its supplies among the youth, Jammu Police today achieved major success by nabbing three interstate drug suppliers namely Mir Haider, son of Manzoor Shah and resident of Pingla, Haridal Tangdar, Kupwara, Istyaq Hussian Shah, son of Nazir Hussian Shah and resident of Jabri, Tangdar, Kupwara, and Altaf Hussain Shah, son of Ali Shah and resident of Chaterkot, Kupwara and recovered 4 Kgs of Heroin. 

Today while checking vehicles on a Naka point laid at Panama Chowk. During search operation, a Sumo car bearing regd number JK09A 2557 was signalled to stop and during checking 4 packets of Heroin recovered. The trio including driver were carrying these packets for the purpose of sale in Jammu and Punjab. The packets were kept in ordinary polythene bags to give impression of ordinary objects.
However, the Naka party subjected each bag for thorough checking and found Heroin like substance, further packed in fine cotton sealed packets. Three mobile phones and cash of Rs 25000 were also recovered from the possession of the trio. The sumo car in which they were travelling was also seized.
It is pertinent to mention here that a few days ago, the Jammu Police broke a racket of interstate drug suppliers and recovered 20kgs of Heroin from Narwal area and arrested four drug peddlers. The kindpin, Shafiq Ahmad, of that recovery was also from Tangdar of Kupwara district.
The recovery was made by a team of Jammu Police under the supervision of SSP Jammu
