Pretoria: At least three people were killed Monday after a plane trying to land at Lanseria airport near Johannesburg in South Africa crashed.
The plane, a Beechcraft King Air 90, was carrying one passenger and two crew members.
Lanseria Airport CEO Gavin Sayce told the South African government News Agency (SA News) that the exact cause of the accident is not known yet.
The aircraft apparently burst into flames after the crash. It was raining heavily and visibility was poor at the time of the mishap.
Despite the incident, the airport is fully operational. Emergency services and personnel are at the scene of the crash.
