Three Kishtwar residents arrested in Srinagar, arms recovered: Police
Srinagar: Police on Wednesday claimed to have busted a module of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen by arresting three persons – all residents of Kishtwar – during a naka checking in Bemina area of Srinagar.
An official said that the three persons – identified as Riyaz Ahmad Wani, son of Mohd Ramzan Wani, resident of Dachan, Ikhlaq Ahmad Khanday, son of Gh Rasool Khanday, also resident of Dachan and Tosweef ul Nabi, son of Gh Nabi Gundroo, resident of Main Kishtwar – were arrested at about 1pm during Naka checking at Bemina bye pass crossing.
Two Chinese pistols, 20 rounds of Pistol, Live 04 Grenades, 01 wireless set and one packet of explosives were recovered from their possession, he said.
“A case FIR no. 41/2017 U/S 7/25 A. ACT, 3/5 Exp. SUB. ACT Has been registered and investigation has been taken up,” he added.
