Three Poonch boys clear IIT exam

Poonch June 13:   Kalai, a small village of Tehsil Haveli located near the junction of Mandi and Surankote streams of Poonch river has something to be proud of. Yet again, the village is in limelight for the splendid performance of three of it’s youngsters in another national level examination.
Hilal Choudhary, Auqib Mujtaba and Usman Hafeez Choudhary all hail from Kalai and have qualified the prestigious IIT JEE exam. The results of the national entrance exam were declared by the JEE board yesterday.
Earlier this year, Irfan and Noonan, brothers from the same village, had cracked the UPSC’s IAS and IES exams respectively.

The village has scores of civil servants, engineers and doctors besides eminent Poets, religious personalities and Writers. The youngsters from the place have secured top positions in the board exams. The village of Kalai has demonstrated impressive gender equality in different fields.
Afreen Kolhi and Saima Sadiq, two female illumines of CHS Poonch, had recently secured 1st and 2nd position at state level in the JKBOSE 10th class examination. Besides them six others had made it to top 20 in the JKBOSE exams in different sessions.
