As per the sources, the government agencies have been trying to contact the families and relatives of the three accused, Umar Khalid Mir, Sheikh Bashrat and Sajjad Ahmad Lone, and want them to surrender.
Evidently, a few days ago the police officials had exposed a Hizbul recruitment camp in the town.

He further added that the cross border infiltration attempts in last few days were debarred and the situation is under control. He pointed at the presence of radical launching and training pads in PoK and the fact that there were no estimates available on their number.
Police, army and other security forces, in their efforts to spread peace and tranquility, are working side by side. The number of terror activities have reduced considerably in the last few years, however, the total of youth that are lured into terrorism is have gone up and is a  matter of concern for the state and nation at large.
