01 Feb : Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said the state cabinet had accepted the recommendations of its sub-committee on forming 659 new administrative units in the state.
03 Feb: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh arrived on 03 Feb afternoon for a two-day visit. He is scheduled to address the Indian Science Congress at the University of Jammu on Monday. Prime Minister was received at the Jammu Airport by Governor NN Vohra, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
03 Feb: Delhi Police special cell arrested three drug traffickers reportedly associated with terrorist outfit Hizbul Mujahideen and recovered heroine worth 35 crore. Media reports have also said one of the accused is a Jammu and Kashmir police constable.
