SRINAGAR: The weather on the NHW is by and large clear presently. However, the commuters are advised to avoid travelling on the NHW during night hours for their own safety as chances of occurring of sudden landslides/shooting stones at any place enroute cannot be ruled out.
As a result of occurring of landslides from time to time, the width of the NHW at different places between Udhampur and Banihal is narrow and as such allowing two-way movement of all sort of traffic on the NHW is not feasible. Therefore, subject to fair weather and good condition of the road, tomorrow on 17-02-2018, movement of vehicles shall be allowed from Srinagar towards Jammu only. No movement of any vehicle shall be allowed from Jammu towards Srinagar.
