Jammu: The Crime Branch has registered a case against a man for duping youth on the pretext of providing jobs in foreign countries.
Rahul Kumar along with 10 other victims has registered a complaint against Rajendra Singh originally a resident of Jallandhar.
“I saw an advertisement for a job in Australia. The ad further claimed that those interested will get visa too. There was Rajendra Singh’s contact number and the address of his Trikuta Nagar office. I called him and he told me to come to his office. I gave him Rs. 6,500 as registration fees and submitted all my documents to him, ” said Rahul Kumar as quoted by a media report.
The victim was later told to visit Singh’s Delhi office at Nehru Place. But when he reached Nehru Place he found no such office and it was then the victim realised that he had been cheated. Rahul is not alone as there are 10 more people who have experienced the same thing.
The police has started its investigation and is looking for Rajendra Singh who is currently absconding.
