Trucker kills teenaged bikers; Biker loses control and kills pedestrian

Jammu, August 18: In what may come as another reminder to not drive rashly, two people were killed in an accident that could have been avoided had the rider of the motorcycle been driving carefully.

One motorcycle bearing No. JK21A-1213 was being ridden rashly by its rider on his way from Vijaypur towards Jammu at around 11:45 am today and upon reaching Patli Morh on the NHW Bari Brahmana, the rider lost control hitting one pedestrian namely Puran Chand R/o Nazwal, Bishnah, critically injuring him thus.

Puran Chand was shifted to GMC Jammu for treatment. Later on pedestrian succumbed to his injuries and his dead body was taken to the mortuary for postmortem. On this instant report case FIR No. 101/2016 U/S 279/337/RPC has been registered at this P/S and investigation of the case is going on.

In another case one truck bearing registration number JK02AP 1125 driven by Daljit Singh s/o Kanhaya Singh, resident of Pouni Parkh Reasi hit a motorcycle at Sidco Chowk Bari Barahmna in which two persons namely Sanju Massi (18) son of Pinka Massi resident of Teli Basti Bari Barahmna and Rahul Manhas (15), a resident of Bari Barahmna  died on spot. The truck was seized and driver of the vehicle arrested.
