Two army personnel injured in Kashmir gunfight

1: 30 pm:
12 pm: Four militants have been killed in the ongoing encounter with government forces in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Two Army Jawans have been martyred and one Major was injured in the gunfight.
4 Para, 41 RR, 16 GR and SOG Kupwara are involved in search operations.
9 am: In the Latest reports, two militants have been killed and four are holed up in a house. The operations are limited as one naik of the Indian Army is also stuck in the house which is preventing the use of force by Indian Army and JKP.
Reports are also coming in of the two injured army men having lost their lives
8: 33 am: Two army personnel were injured on Saturday in an ongoing gunfight between militants and security forces in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
“Security forces including Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Special Operations Group (SOG) of state police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) surrounded a house in Marsari village last evening on information that a group of militants were hiding there,” a senior police officer told/
“When the security forces closed in on the house, the militants opened fire triggering a gunfight.”
“Two army personnel including an officer have been injured in this operation,” the official added.
