Two children injured in shell explosion

Jammu: In a suspected mine or shell explosion near Line of Control (LOC) at a village in Mandi area of Poonch two children got injured when they stepped over the shell or mine while playing near their house, according to Media Reports.

The injured children were shifted to the Sub District Hospital Mandi and were referred to District Hospital Poonch. The injured were identified as Wasim Akram and Tahir Rashid, both the residents of Village Azmabad. Two children were injured in a suspected mine or shell explosion at village Azmabad, close to the Line of Control (LoC) in Mandi area of Poonch district today.

Reports said the children were playing near their house at village Azmabad when they stepped over either a mine or shell, leading to an explosions in which both of them were injured.

The injured have been identified as Wasim Akram, 10, son of Mohammad Akram and Tahir Rashid, 8, son of Abdul Rashid, both residents of village Azmabad of Poonch. The Police has registered a case in this regard for further investigations.
