Two Cousin sisters go missing with cash in Jammu & Kashmir


Two cousin sisters have been reportedly missing from village Gagla Kastigarh, here.

As per police sources, Krishan lal and Raj Dev, sons of Ram Dass of village Gagla lodged a report with Women Police Station stating that their daughters namely Nisha Devi and Ansha Devi, both student of class 7th and aged about 12 years wearing blue colour school uniform had gone to school and did not returned back to home.

Raj Dev, father of Ansha, said, “Like every day, Ansha left for school around 7 am but didn’t return in the evening.

When we called up the school, we came to know that they did not attend it. We tried to trace them in Doda, Jammu, Katra and Udhampur but failed to get any clue.


Later, we filed a complaint with the police

.”In charge, women police station, Doda, Riyaz Shah said, “During preliminary investigation, the police came to know that the girls went missing with Rs 48,000 in cash stolen from their uncle’s house.

They were wearing the blue school uniform but also took extra suits with them.”Not ruling out a conspiracy angle, the officer said, “Different teams of the police are trying to trace the girls.

Apart from that, we have also informed all SHOs of Jammu and Kashmir about the case.”

Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 10/18 under Section 363 RPC has been registered in Women Police Station Doda and hunt has been launched to recover the missing girls.
