Two Day International Conference Concludes at IME Bhaderwah Campus

Bhaderwah :Two Day International Conference “Change in Cryosphere, Its Impact on Ecosystem Services and Rural Livelihood: Understanding Local Adaption in the Himalayan Region 13-14 October 2014” concluded at the Institute of Mountain Environment, Bhaderwah Campus of University of Jammu. MLC, Naresh Gupta was the Chief Guest and MLA, Bhaderwah Mohd. Sharief Niaz was Guest of Honour of the Valedictory Ceremony of the conference. Mr. Chhering Tandup, Organising Secretary welcomed the guests. The Chief Guest, Guest of Honour along with Prof GM Bhat, Rector Bhaderwah Campus and the convenor of the conference and Prof Harjit Singh, an eminent scholar in the field of Geography from JNU, New Delhi distributed certificates amongst the paper presenters and Ms. Himangana Gupta who emerged as the winner of the Young Scientist Award. In his address Mr. Naresh Gupta appreciated the endeavours of the Rector and the Institute. Mr. Mohd. Sharief Niaz congratulated the organizing committee and the Rector for having been able to put Bhaderwah Campus on the global map through this maiden international conference successfully. The Rector in his address appreciated the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour for gracing the ceremony and promised his best endeavours to take Bhaderwah Campus higher and higher. Mr. Shayan Javeed Assistant Professor IME delivered the formal Vote of Thanks. Dr. Naveen and Ms Ambish Malik conducted the proceedings.
