Two Indian soldiers injured by terrorists

Srinagar, Aug 8: Two soldiers were injured on Saturday when they fought a gun battle with terrorists trying to sneak into Jammu and Kashmir from Pakistan, a military official said.

The incident took place on the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district, the official said.

Two personnel of 21 Rashtriya Rifles were injured and taken to a hospital, he added.

The winding LoC divides Jammu and Kashmir between India and Pakistan. Islamabad holds the northern third of the state while New Delhi controls the southern two-third.
