Two killed, over 30 injured in two Kashmir accidents

Srinagar/Jammu, Nov 8: At least two people were killed and more than 30 others injured in two road accidents on Sunday in Jammu and Kashmir, police said.

A woman was killed and 30 people injured in an accident in Budgam district in Kashmir Valley, when a passenger vehicle skidded off the road in Pakherpora after the driver lost control over the wheel.

The injured passengers were taken to hospital, police told IANS.

In another accident, one person was killed and six were injured in Doda district of Jammu region.

Police told IANS that a load carrier vehicle on way to Gundna from Doda town rolled down 200 feet into a deep gorge in Bidwan village after the driver lost control.

Sawal Singh, owner of the vehicle, died on the spot.

Two critically injured people were taken for specialised treatment to the government medical college hospital in Jammu city.
